Mayser donates proceeds from the sale of everyday masks

Santa Claus project for children with cancer

Since the recommendation by the federal and state governments to use everyday masks as a measure to contain SARS-CoV-2, everyday masks 'made by Mayser' have been available to employees at the Ulm and Lindenberg sites from the works councils. At the beginning of December, part of the proceeds from the sale was donated to the Förderkreis für tumor- und leukämiekranke Kinder Ulm e.V. (sponsoring group for children with tumours and leukaemia) for the benefit of a Santa Claus project.

Mouth and nose protection masks have become everyday companions over the past year. Mayser used its in-house textile expertise to produce everyday masks at the Rožňava site. In April, each employee received a free mask, and more could be purchased from the works council. The management rounded up the proceeds to 1,000 euros and, at the suggestion of the works council, donated the sum to the Förderkreis für tumor- und leukämiekranke Kinder Ulm e.V., which Mayser has supported for many years.

The management and the works council are pleased about the widespread acceptance in the company and the solidarity and common sense shown and thank all colleagues who made this donation possible by purchasing a mask.
