Veronika Hug

Veronika Hug, Head of Logistics in Lindenberg

How would you describe your responsibilities at Mayser in one sentence?

I am the point of contact for my colleagues and am responsible for coordinating and organising the logistical procedures, which are influenced by constantly changing requirements on a daily basis.

What do you look forward to every day at work?

I look forward to seeing my colleagues, who always make me laugh, and I really enjoy working with them. What I like most is when ideas from me or my team are implemented successfully.

What tasks make you lose track of time?

A day filled with meetings passes very quickly. The challenge in this case is switching among different topics and maintaining focus on the essentials. When a meeting is completed successfully, I am excited to see the progress that has been made.

If you could choose anything, what would you implement at Mayser?

I would like to implement a new high bay warehouse without racks in the room and without distribution across different floors. In other words, a warehouse with short distances, which is ergonomically designed and suits our product diversity.

Who would you recommend Mayser to as an employer?

I recommend Mayser to people who enjoy pursuing their own ideas with enthusiasm, who want to take on responsibility and who can respond to constantly changing requirements.

Do you have a philosophy of life?

‘Fair enough!’ As a native Bavarian, this philosophy of life was practically handed down to me at birth. For me personally, it stands for ‘live and let live’ and for not always taking ourselves and our minor problems too seriously.

What is your favourite way to relax after work?

I like to go hiking in the mountains, as it helps to clear my head. You get to enjoy the fresh air and have a good sweat.
