Nuri Kara, Employee in safety edge production and member of the works council

Mayser in one sentence

For me, Mayser means variety and versatility. CAD drawings for customers, for example, require full concentration. And when assembling safety edges, my colleagues and I have to master every single step of the process at the various workstations – so there's never a moment of boredom.

What I look forward to every day

I look forward to seeing my colleagues every day. I have been working with many of them as a team for a long time. I also enjoy the variety of tasks I perform, not least my work as a member of the works council. In this role, I can advise and support colleagues with any questions or concerns they may have. It's a great feeling to be able to help.

For whom is Mayser the ideal employer?

Mayser is a unique company: I appreciate the healthy openness with which we address issues here and then work constructively to find solutions. If you enjoy contributing your opinion to achieve a common goal, this is the right place for you.

When time seems to fly by

When I'm immersed in my work, whether as a works council member or in my job in assembly, I don't notice how time flies. But even when I'm working with nice colleagues, I'm often surprised when I look at the clock and see how late it is.

My philosophy of life

There are actually two: ‘You can't make something out of nothing.’ and ‘Live and let live’. The truth of both statements has been proven again and again throughout my career.

My voluntary work

I am a passionate football coach. I coached my son's team for two years and now I am on the football field with my daughter. What I particularly like about a team sport like football is the team spirit, regardless of whether we win or lose. I also enjoy passing on this team spirit to my colleagues in my work at Mayser.
