Mayser’s 2018 summer party

Summertime is family time at Mayser

Our employees look forward to Mayser’s annual summer party every year: All employees can bring their families to the company and celebrate together with their colleagues form the Ulm and Lindenberg locations in an informal atmosphere. A total of 350 guests attended this year’s party – 100 more than last year! Highlights included such diverse activities as the search for the “Mayser Super Talent” and the children’s painting contest. In an auction, the pictures raised a sum of 1000 euros for a good cause.

Summer, sun and lasting memories
Under sunny skies and midsummer temperatures the children’s pool was the most popular attraction of the day. At 30 degrees Celsius our young guests cooled off by jumping into the water again and again. Lasting pictorial memories of the summer party were created during the painting contest, in which the children made works of art on canvas with the Mayser colours. The hand-signed pictures were then auctioned off at impressive prices between 60 and 200 euros each. Mayser’s trainees demonstrated group spirit and social commitment with the joint purchase of one of the paintings. The proceeds totalling 1000 euros were donated to Ulm’s association for support to children with cancer and leukaemia.

Fun on and around the stage
After the great success of last year’s search for “Mayser Super Talent” the event was repeated again this year. Zeni Sulejmani, who entertainingly hosted the event with superior ease, obviously enjoyed the successful performances. The winner of the contest was Josiah Bruce. With Roberto Blanco’s “Ein bisschen Spaß muss sein” he put the audience in a super mood, for which he won the prize of a city voucher worth 50 euros. The Mayser talents Alfonso Napoles and Luigi Tostoni brought an international flair to the stage with Spanish and Italian music. As a token of thanks, all participants received a ticket for the 3D flight simulator “Birdly”, in which one can experience a virtual flight over the historic city of Ulm.

A party for everybody – by everybody
“We are very pleased that our summer party is growing and that even more colleagues from Lindenberg came to Ulm with their families to celebrate with us”, says Winfried Wanka, Member of the Executive Board - HR & Legal Department. “Our thanks to everyone who helped with the organisation to make this event a great success.” As always, the Mayser executives also demonstrated their commitment by manning the grill – as a sign of esteem and recognition of the employees’ achievements.
