Mayser presenting at two training fairs in the Allgäu region

Steadily increasing number of technical training programmes at Lindenberg location

This year for the first time, Mayser will be attending the “zukunftswangen” fair hosted at the centre for vocational training in Wangen. Thanks to this addition to their schedule, the company is now presenting at two of the region’s most important fairs for training in technical occupations. Mayser has already been a staple at the “career info fair” in Lindenberg since 2005 – this year taking the wraps off a new booth concept including robot.r.

“The first association that the name Mayser has for a lot of people in the region is that of a hat manufacturer. This is despite the fact that - over the last few decades - the company has evolved into a group of technical companies that offers a host of interesting occupational training programmes", explains Werner Mayer, Head of HR at the Lindenberg location. The latest job description of a Technical Product Designer managed to arouse a great deal of attention at the two fairs. “This job combines creativity with technical expertise. Just a few weeks ago, the trainee first to complete the training at our company was distinguished by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce as the best of her year. This recognition is a testimony to the high standard to which we hold our training.” Other career paths highly sought after at Mayser are the professions of Industrial Mechanic and Industrial Management Assistant. Aside from educating trainees in these professions, the Lindenberg location offers vocational training in process engineering and the millinery trade.

Great importance of working in projects and as a team
The company’s goal is to provide young people with the skills they need to succeed in their professional careers. These skills comprise expertise in both technical and social matters. Another aspect that resonates well with the trainees are technologies that may shape the future. “Presenting solutions for a safe collaboration between man and robot at the “career info fair”, the robot equipped with Mayser sensor technology managed to turn quite a few heads.”

Mayser has already filled all trainee positions for the upcoming year of training. “However, we are already looking forward to receiving applications for the training programmes that will start in the summer of 2019”, declares Werner Mayer.
