Mayser grants stipends for University of Ulm

Educational assistance for specialists

In December 2018, German stipends were granted to twelve students of the University of Ulm. Mayser was one of the sponsors.

Just a few weeks ago Mayser granted a stipend in Business Intelligence and Business Analytics to a student of the Neu-Ulm University. Now the company is sponsoring a German stipend at the neighbouring University of Ulm, this time in Master Systems Engineering and Management with the focus on Electrical Engineering.

Stipends presented by the chancellor

On the afternoon of 13 December, the chancellor of the University of Ulm, Prof. Dr. Volker Reuter, welcomed the sponsors and future scholars in the Senate hall on the Prittwitzstraße campus. He emphasised the special nature of the assistance, which is sponsored equally by the economic sector and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. “It is essential for students to come into contact with successful enterprises early on, in order to provide the region with specialists for the future”, Reuter explained.

Winfried Wanka, Member of the Executive Board at Mayser, intends to assist students with stipends in the future as well: “It gives me great pleasure that we are able to promote the academic potential at universities in our region, and we are confident that the financial investment is more than worthwhile. That is why Mayser will continue to remain active in the promotion of young talent.”
