Mayser invests in training

Extensive expansion of the training workshop

The quality of training is very important at Mayser. That is why the training workshop was recently upgraded with state-of-the-art technology and expanded from an area of 60 to 150 square metres. The investment also includes an additional CNC machining centre that was put into operation in the adjacent maintenance area.

“We are fortunate that the number of apprentices in technical occupations has doubled in the last four years,” according to Ralf Michael, Director of Training at the Ulm location. “The demand for industrial mechanics and process technicians will continue to rise in the coming years. That was also one reason why we wanted to create the basis for future training requirements now.”

New workbenches and tools were also purchased for the apprentices. “We have therefore created the technical conditions for offering highly qualified training in accordance with the latest standards. Our instructors can now offer our apprentices even more specialised and practically oriented training in preparation for their occupations.”

“It is an investment in Mayser’s future,” Winfried Wanka, Member of the Executive Board – HR & Legal Department, is likewise pleased to report. “It is very important that we optimally prepare our apprentices for their later careers, especially since we train them for our own requirements. Our modernised training workshop and our highly competent training team offer the ideal conditions for achieving this.”
