57 runners during the 13th Ulm/Neu-Ulm Einstein-Marathon

Mayser team shows stamina for all distances

During the thirteenth run in Ulm, the weather was rather mixed and the event only partially blessed with sunshine. 10,809 runners in all took part with 57 runners from Mayser.

"Naturally, we are very happy that the number of runners has grown,” said Winfried Wanka, Member of the Excecutive Board HR & Legal Department. "The fact that our team could even get support from a member of the U.S. location from Canton was very special for all runners, of course, and showed lots of team spirit." This was matched by this year’s motto on the runner’s shirts: "Mayser-Team – five locations, four countries, two continents, one family".

The runners from Ulm, Lindenberg and Canton were successful at the distances 5, 10 and 21 kilometres. One runner even managed the complete marathon with an outstanding running time of under three and a half hours. A total of almost 500 run kilometres were thus completed. "A great performance for which we are very grateful. It is wonderful to see the affinity to the Mayser team with so much sportsmanship and willpower," rejoiced Winfried Wanka.

A great thanks also goes to the organisers, the cheering fans and all those involved in this great event.
