Award for trainees

Mayser is successful training company

Mayser has again honoured “new blood”. At the trainee party of Swabian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Philomena Johler could, together with Mayser, delight in the award for “Best millinery trade graduate from the Allgäu” in the examination year 2016/2017.

“We are very proud of our trainees,” Werner Mayer, head of Human Resources at the Lindenberg site happily stated. “It proves that our concept of giving personal responsibility to young people early on has proven itself as well as our focus on good cooperation.” Working together in a team and learning from each other is the maxim at the locations Lindenberg and Ulm. They are training exclusively for their own requirements. “We place great importance on preparing our trainees well for their future professional life and teaching them professional as well as social skills. We even motivate them to test their individual limits once in a while.“

The Mayser concept has already received several awards – not only for the creative millinery profession (federal and regional best). “In the trades of industrial management assistants and process mechanics for plastic and rubber engineering, Mayser trainees have also already received awards as best graduates in the administrative district or in Allgäu by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce,” explains Werner Mayer.

Philomena Johler has enjoyed her education immensely. She is especially fond of the so-called hand hats. “These hats are still made by hand and completely without machines and to me stand for German craftsmanship. I was especially happy to take on the responsibility for the entire hat production of one season at the beginning of my third year of training already. This trust of my department has been a great encouragement for me.”

After graduating, she can not only recommend hats that fit the heads and type of customers at the Mayser company store “Chapeau” but also create unique straw and winter hats. “My great enthusiasm belongs to traditional costume hats. I could also already sell some of my individual models.”
